Getty Images has long championed artists, but forgot about the artists behind the world’s favorite images: MEMES!

So we’re creating the world’s biggest meme archive.

The Encyclomemia is a dedicated resource on our site where people can find and learn about the origin of memes.

And even donate to the artists behind their favorite works.

We’re so passionate about this, we made a whole video. It’s a lot of fun. You should watch it. Seriously:

To get the word out, we took this show on the road with some very robust pop-up museums in major cities.

And an OOH campaign to get people there, of course.

At the Memeseums, visitors can interact with memes, meme themselves, learn about and donate to the makers of their favorite memes.

We’ll launch the whole thing on social by founding the first National Meme Day
